inspiring words though few r going 2 follow

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone...

yet not trying to give their opinion

Visit to Itafort as a difference creating adventurous event, had we succeeded in coming close to the motive:Coming to those LOCians, who have something inside them that need to be shaken for committing towards the cause and say something in favor or against the two bolders.Talking about myself, it lies far somewhere in me that helps me to at least try and get into it.Trying to do innovative in the sense of filling up the gap between the parties, we have move ahead and can show the couchy potatoes that there are some guys living here only who were not born yesterday and can move the world in the right direction.

something important.....

Sensex gains 294 points, bank shares surge

MUMBAI: The stock markets remained buoyant after a really long week-end, with the benchmark Sensex posting a gain of nearly 294 points on Monday to settle the day at above 15000 level, riding on a surge in banking stocks.
The 30-share Sensex on the Bombay Stock Exchange regained the 15000 level to end at 15289.40, up by 294.57 points from its last Wednesday’s closing level. The index is crossing this crucial level for the first time since March 17 when it fell below this level on heavy selling triggered by global cues.
In volatile trade, the key index moved in a range of 15351.31 and 15056.09 points.
The 50-issue Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also firmed up by 35.90 points to end at 4609.85 from its previous close.
Meanwhile, Asian markets gave mixed bag of signs. While the key indices in Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea were up by 0.50 per cent to 3.99 per cent, China’s Shanghai Composite index was down by 4.49 per cent and Japan’s Nikkei was lower by 0.02 per cent.
On BSE, despite a rise in its barometer, the market breadth turned negative as 2149 counters ended with losses against only 535 losses.
Brokers said volatility increased on the bourses ahead of the expiry of March 2008 derivative contracts on March 27.
The surge in Sensex was aided mainly by the bankex which shot up by 3.32 per cent. HDFC soared by 7.73 per cent, the highest among the index-related stocks.
ICICI Bank firmed up by 4.98 per cent. The other prominent gainers were Hind Unilever, HDFC Bank and Wipro. Among the losers, Tata Steel, which was down by over 7 per cent, led the pack. Maruti, JP Associates, DLF and REL lost in the range of 1-6 per cent.
The trading volume dropped sharply to Rs. 4,682.75 crore from the last weekend’s level of Rs. 5,796.91 crore. RIL was the most active share with the highest turnover of Rs. 201.99 crore. — PTI

sensex.......?

The last meeting ended with a great hue and cry which was not expected from me? Everybody was trying to clear his doubts relating sensex and its queries. Rohit started the discussion as expected but owing to large scale interrupts (in the form of questions) arising in the middle from both boys and gals, he was upset. What I do believe is that sensex being a separate course of economics can not be studied up to its penultimate limit. Better we should learn about the basic things we encounter in our daily life. Shares, vvi in this field were cleared to a large extent in this meeting. How is sensex calculated? being very important was also covered. Now the most important is what are the factors which affect sensex which I suppose is far needed rather than going into depth of whole topic. Last time I heard serial attacks on various trains in Mumbai created a huge setback in the value of sensex.these concepts are far important.
lets see what we are going to learn in future.

Afterall, All the Business of Business is Business

" .... October is one of the particularly dangerous months to speculate in stocks. The others are July, January, September, April, November, May, March, June December, August and February .... " Mark Twain

10th meeting of LOC
, and wheels have started rolling... I can say this, when I saw bunch of 15 really keen on understanding what SENSEX was, how does rising and falling of index on BSE or NASDAQ affects a common man, and about Stock Exchanges, Shares, Liquidity...

God save us, we are becoming professionals. YES, WE ARE MOVING AHEAD

Impeccable Rohit Rai, started off in the style he is well known for, talking about SENSEX, trying to layout the whole picture of what actually FINANCE is? He was encountered by questions, all sorts of, very basic ones, and he handled them with ease and grace। Then suddenly we realized that Business is not things of the other world. We got the concept of SHARES, how Stock Exchanges works, about the vision of Late. Dhirubhai Ambani, percentages, ownerships, Bill Gates, Ambani Duos॥

Time to come up for more questions, friends !!

Celebrating 100 blogs !!

Three Cheers to those who spared time to write and share their views over a broader and wider arena, to those who meant business with L.O.C. and knew that it meant more than just being confined in the few hours of blunt and often rigorous chit chats over some decent numbers of cups of Tea.

Its time to move on and I realized important lessons of life in past days, I have only myself to thank, that I am here... Strong as ever and slightly improved person and of course L.O.C.

heres wishing all of you a very very Happy Holi, Happy Ester.

Why the Debate?

How dare you question the unquestionable?

Who and What is L.O.C.?

With time, things have drastically changed. And with very few who realised the brighter side of what we were actually trying to do, its our time to address the rest about the answers to above questions. Some may argue that how is the soul of this unconventional and 'unauthorised' organization, got to do with this debate. And with with these pretexts, let us first congratulate these small bunch of students who withstood all odds and made this initialisation a reality. Congratulations to all the spectators including none other than Respected Director Sir, Deans and teachers whose presence gave us immence adreline to gracefully go through with the program and ever so dear friends who finally got convinced that here is a debate which is going to matter to them. Thank you one and all for the overwhelming support.

Now to the basic questions which somehow remained unanswered down the line. Let me put it straight way, the debate in its new form was an idea of L.O.C., but the topic as such had nothing to do with the fundamentals on which this 'tea-a-meet' is sailing.

I always found "Timeline" as the best way to arrange data and let me take you to a small time travel.

Not very long ago, when a trio came up with the idea of triggering a change, when proposed to all, 15 accepted to be a part of this Kinda Fun Club. Starting from the discussion about what actually we were upto with our 15 captain commanded ship, the journey had already begun. in a very little time the ice really started to melt and with all members well versed with each other; we started thinking out of box. Our motto was revolving around having fun mixed with learning the basics of personality development.

Spending valuable time in the meetings we realised that each of us had wonderful and unique talents in the some field or the other and that each of us had a lot to offer to each other in particular and the society in general. through the sips of tea we accepted greetings, welcomed comments/ criticism and strictly abstained from annoying anyone.

Thinking out of box meant getting one's attention beyond what is already being said and done. It meant taking up issues which are only complained about even if it can be resolved with minimum of fuss.

Solving one such issue resulted in present new form of debate. Or dare we say, issues were many, the only thing lacking was Communication. And since no one was putting the plug in the socket, we did!!

These are troubled times and we, the students are still stuck with some basic ideologies. Being students, we complainabout least being done to bridge the gap between the teachers and students. We complain about absence of enough guidelines for us to grow and develop our personality in the right direction. We at L.O.C. realised that students who are not satisfied or convinced by the "pro-de-tective" attitude of our immediate gaurdians; need some space out of the learning room, to talk to them.

We at L.O.C. realised that sparking a change must begin with ourselves(means with students). We believed that getting support from the likes of the very best in the business, most experienced; we can initiate this bridging and we are grateful to be backed up by them.

Let me state clearly, the topic was decided after consulting the honorable participants of the debate, and we at L.O.C. had nothing to do with the content. Throughout the whole event, our vision was concentrated on parting the gap, and this reflects as in the inaugural speech of the debate, L.O.C. emphasised that teachers are above god, beyond any question, any limit, any doubt whatsoever. We firmly believe in this and we don't see any reason why not to.

And we proud that they lent their best hand upon us and took the pain of spreading light among htose deprived. With their support and overjoyed for the tremendous turnout, specially \students, we provided oppurtunity to clear the doubts and misconceptions in their fast developing minds.

Answering the first question, why the debate, we would say, " Ask yourself!" Was it just a debate? For those who were present there; must have noted the intensity, the flow, the captivity{and was there no difference in the whole approach?} of this unforgettable presentation?

changing......

Time for change....are we able to change...???
Yes we are...and the auditorium proved that...
"DEBATE" something for which people hardly gather to watch, especially in NERIST, but this time our members were busy arranging chairs. As it was first time so we faced many difficulties but facing all those we learned more. Difficulties are something from which we learn and they are never going to stop us. It is well said by Ayn Rand: - "The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me.”
Everyone enjoyed a lot...we got a great response from the audience…they want more and waiting for the next…so friends don’t worry keep waiting with the same enthusiasm we will be right back very soon…all those response showed that we may not be there yet, but we are closer than we were yesterday.
It has been said by ~ Lewis Cass
"People may doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do."
So we are trying to do our best… we 15 walking hand in hand hoping to do best of the best…at last I will like to thank all teachers and all the members for their full support for the same…without whom it was not possible to achieve such a great success…

i will love to be the audience..........

we are different............

LOC…we are different and are trying to do something different…we together are trying to know the world in different respects of life. We 15 are not the world but we are a part of this world. Something we always wanted to know but never got a chance to know…trying to know ourselves more…I think to know yourself better, you should see yourself from your friend’s perception because they will always show you what you are and what you need to improve in yourself…we started with small meetings and now the stage is waiting for us to do something which never happened around us…starting with the meetings…

“HOT TEA”
(Meetings without tea impossible)

First meeting in which we discussed on “men-women relationship”….continued with another point of discussion…”can a boy and a girl be best friends”…then “religion”…this topic is something which needs to have a good knowledge before we discuss on it but we tried our best to get something out of this meeting…where we came to know that ‘religion’ not only means worshiping GOD every morning but it means a lot more than this…it means…to be good human being. That meeting ended with our 1st GD on ‘cricket’.
In one of the meeting we discussed on the topic “love, infatuation and crush”…again different views helped in clearing the smoke of confusion from our mind…we can say…
”Love is the maturation of friendship.
You must be friends before you are lovers.”

In any relationship the most important thing is that you need to know each other and there should be trust but sometimes it happens what goes around you, you never wanted it to be like that. In simple words sometimes life travels on the vehicle on which you never wanted to get in…and you come to know after you get down on a melancholy road that is when you lost everything…at that time your friend will be the one to change your life from hell to heaven…by forgiving you for everything…that why its true to say that…
” The Gift of True Friendship
Is that it takes us by
The Hands & Reminds Us,
We are not alone
In The JOURNEY of LIFE…”

So it’s a request to all my friends never feel bad in saying sorry to your closed ones even if you know you are right and always forgive your friends for their mistakes because you are the only one who can make your friends life best…
Now a little bit about ‘love’, we usually search for someone whom we will love in our life but I read somewhere…”don’t live your life with someone whom you love but live with someone who loves you…” I think that will make ones life happiest as the person who loves you will trouble you the most but when you drop a tear they will fight the world to stop your tears…
Then in one of the meetings we discussed on our weaknesses and strengths…so at the end of every meeting we came to know much more than before about ourselves.
In the first meeting PD said this is a ship on which we are traveling…so my friends join your hands together we have just started and we have to travel a large distance because from here I cant see the end of the ocean…and frankly speaking I don’t want to see the ending so that we go on traveling.

View from Itafort

Next we decided to have our meeting at Itafort…we enjoyed the whole journey to Itafort and had good inspiring words by Saurav for doing something different…showing ourselves different. From before only I was excited about the ‘Grand debate competition’ but his words inspired me more. Thank you Saurav for making us realize what we can do. I am eagerly waiting for the coming Saturday that is 15th of March when some of our respected teachers and dear friends will be standing on the same stage in front of each other.
So, everyone is invited for the same to watch something which will be first time for most of the people in NERIST. Hoping for a great success of the event and I will be back with new stuffs till that take care and enjoy…and…and…don’t forget to be with us on this Saturday.

DEBATE

The topic for the debate is:

There should be a clear separation in the attitude of teachers towards students, demarcating between the proffessional and personal, in all spheres of campus life.

I AM NUPUR MORRAYA, ITS MY TIME TO SPEAK !!

After joining LOC, for the first time, I am writing down something. We really had an interactive talk in Itanagar and I got enthusiasm to express my views.

11th march….exams over…everyone relaxed...At last our plan of going to Itafort was a success. Though it was not so worth visiting as we expected, still we had a purpose of going(LOC)…that’s why we enjoyed…in every meeting it happens that only few speak and others always remain silent. Saurav really inspired us, to do various deeds…I realized when PD asked that among all of us how many of we have done something for LOC. For me, I have done nothing till now…i havn’t written a single blog…I can really feel that attending meeting is not enough.

Another question was asked to us….what is there inside we people, that makes us to keep silent.Nobody answered.I think many feel inferior to others in speaking, hesitations to express. But I know, unless and until we won’t do, we are unable to come over it. We need to work upon it, we need to put in efforts.

Everyone has his or her own view point about some topic…But the thing is that some expresses and some do not.As a part of LOC we should boost each other to share the ideas and opinions among us.

15th march, coming Saturday…it is the day when LOC is going to do something on a grand level. We are really excited and still many works to be done…Hope everything goes well and we come up with success and fulfillment.

hate me,if you could

Did, u say you know me?
Think, just think once more.
You say I am nice.
Consider, not once, but twice.
For that’s not true.

I am evil headed,
Psychotic,
Unbothered for else,
Mean and cold hearted.
My smile is a hoax,
A disguise,
Am warm hearted?
No, a deceptive boaster.
I am a cheat, I am a liar,
Please! Hate me.

Don’t hate me,
For you can’t love me.
Hate me,
For I couldn’t love you.
Hate me,
For my greed,
Hate me,
For my insecurity,
Hate me,
For I am hateable.
Please! Hate me.

I am coward,
Scared,
And on run of commitment,
Masked by scar,
Camouflaged under mystery,
Not for the fear of unknown,
But uncared concealment.
So,
Please! Hate me.

Hate me!
For you love me
Hate me!
For you can’t love me.
But,
Please! Hate me.

what i always disliked bout us...

Do you dare speak the truth?
Do you dare speak about you?
Do you dare being familiar with you?
Do u dare held your head high?
Posing to be truthful,
Why do we make lies the sustenance?
Posing to be virtuous and pious
Why do we lust the vicious and evil?
Candidly, we pertain people to villains,
Overtly, blaming them for all ills,
Snubbing their crooked means,
Discarding corrupt manners and polluted antics.
Awhile
Concerting our honour
And gesture;
Outlining intellectuality
And righteousness.
Why do us, behind closed doors,
Extend our hands
Against what we stand.
Where is the accountability?
We ask others for.
Call us hypocrite?
That’s how it is, someone responded.
Is hypocrisy, that momentous?
For the kindness and justness,
We, so, demurely speak of,
Why do us, adore,
Cruelty over compassion?
And prejudice over tolerance?
Don’t we know?
This callous and insatiable yearn,
Would bring doom to all.
The society,
We so, earnestly endorse and strive
We so, flawlessly love and belong.
Are we cowards?
Scared of being us,
Concealing ourselves,
Treading the path others outlined,
Refusing error as natural and normal,
Pretending perfection,
When imperfection is the only truth,
Before death that do exist.
Couldn’t we stand for us?
Rejecting deceit.
Couldn’t we revolt?
Seeking what we consider truth.
Couldn’t we love?
Us.
