I love mosquitoes

The annual inspection of our base just got over and I am pretty sure the Flag officer Commanding-in-Chief would go happy enough. And why not!! I paid with my sweat and blood (yet again) for this. We have divisions and I was standing in parade ground, waiting for the C-in-C to grace us and out of somewhere this lovely (note) mosquito found her beau. And it’s not me, it was my blood. I have heard from girls’ time and again that they find me handsome, may be nice too. But probably this female mosquito found my blood more adorable, more sweet and seducing enough to lay her love bite on it.
And what a time did she chose, The national anthem was playing and the tricolour was going up the mast. I had two options then: One, to hit hard on her and make her love immortal but killing somebody in love is not something i could do. As such the other one and infact the only one, and that meant not moving the time i could hear that familiar music played by the band that translates into ”jana gana mana......”.And trust me, I did precisely the same. I paid my tribute to the motherland in blood...

But more importantly was left wondering how mosquitoes could feast on any kind of blood, Irrespective and unbothered about the blood group I possessed. If mosquitoes can do this, it can be translated onto human beings. And if our scientists can do this someday, scarcity pertaining to certain blood groups would well remain solved.

And now, my blood runs in the fraternity of mosquitoes. So, I am looking forward to launching a campaign against killing of mosquitoes.

Could somebody pass this on?

INFOSYS MYSORE DC (Development Center)

The place where someone called out u saying “sir please walk on footpath” instead of someone yelling at you “sale footaptha kya show ke liye banaya hai.. (u @@@ is the footapth made for a show??)”.

The place where every guy rode a ladybird though he never dared test his sisters bicycle when she bought it for the first time.

The place where the alarms woke me up  instead of Mom shaking and pushing me to get up.

The place where you always had a shoulder to cry when you were sad and a hand to high five when you were happy.

The place where watching movies late night was no issue even if that meant getting up early next morning.

The place where the gates told you “”you are entering a disciplined place, act one even if you are not one”.

The place where you could return the next day and no one would ask you where had you been.

The place where you were paid to study and you studied so ruthlessly like never before even though your parents paid for your fees and you never bothered to study throughout your life .

The place which gave you your first salary and you had no clue what to do with it but wanted to do everything with it.

The place where every weekend meant a party or an outing.

The place where Friday nights meant going to a laundry to get your clothes washed though you had no clue how much Surf for 10 clothes.

The place where you remembered moms food 24*7

The place where you missed dad yelling at the slightest mistake.

The place where you couldn’t find peace without your brother though you always were at war with him.

The place where you realized you loved someone more than the hottest girl in the campus.

The place where you made friends for a life though people always said friends at work don’t last long

The place where you saw a life you never imagined
The place where time management skills were developed without your knowledge. You learnt to toggle between swimming ,study ,GYM and home and always had enough time to do them all.

The place where projects meant team work and you really had to work.

The place where people didn’t bother who you were and still entire hostel erupts in claps when they heard someone play a guitar or sing a song.

The place where all of them had same room keys and all that mattered where room numbers. You were never far away from the farthest person you knew on the campus.

The place where You meet at a place called “gazzebo” and ask an unknown person for a smoke and then you realize you made a big gang out there.

The place where you never felt odd to stand in a queue for 3 long hours to get a movie ticket with all your friends in the queue whereas back home you always asked friends to do advance booking for entire group.

The place where you learnt 10 different ways to cook Maggie in a kettle  which was ‘par boiled’, ’unboiled’, ’half boiled’ but never properly boiled whereas you only knew a single recipe back home and shouted at Mom for overcooking or undercooking ‘Maggie’

The place where you realized why mom always made a checklist while going to a supermarket because you always purchased 9 unwanted items from the 10 items you just brought from ‘loyal world.’

The place where bread, jam or bread, butter or bread, cheese always had kurkure as toppings .

The place where you realized you must be having more APPY and MIRINDA in your veins as supposed to blood.

The place where you had at least 10 autowallahs number saved to your cell phone and call them up regularly though you never knew a single autowallahs name back in your home town.

The place where you spent talking to mom for hours though you rarely talked to her that long daily back home.

The place where you called up friends daily just to tell them how much you miss them.

The place where you realized the magic of words and power of blogs.

The place which showed you the best of life and then one day say “you are on your own. Now go to $#$%% and face the real world.”

what after??

in my childhood days, when my dad's colleagues used to visit us, they would always end up asking me.."beta, badde hokar kya banna hai??"..and i always had the same answer to it.."engineer :)"..well, my mother wanted me to become a doctor..but then,
i used to faint everytime i encountered my own blood..
so, to some extent i'm an engineer now..atleast, i have passed all the subjects for the same..and at this point of time,i realize that everything was planned till date..now, none of my dad's colleagues queried on my career once i become an engineer..neither did i think of it in the most pleasant of dreams..
well, this is where i stand for now..trying to figure out what to do next..

moral of the story: next time you ask the same question to a child, follow it up with "what after??"

Everyday:- Life in every way !!

Almost missed the birthday celebration of one of my most special friends of recent times. 16 th March, Paro.

Thanks to Poly.

Thank god it was a holiday, a perfectly timed south indian festival. Just when it seemed that India is no longer a country of festivals and holidays for the corporate world, 'Ugadhi' as celebrated in Andhra and Karnataka, and 'Gudi Padwa' as in Maharastra came to rescue.

Correct my geography if i am wrong, guys.

So, woke up late with a cancelled plan of picnic, due to lack of enthusiasm from the majority of our group. Plan finally changed to a shopping visit to Mysore city. To tell you frankly i had no idea about the speciality of the day as i was buzzed by Poly with this information.

The plan of visit to city was overridden by a heavy lunch at the famous dhaba 'Jai Mata Di' just outside infy campus. Oh sorry, it was the other one, a bit less famous, but a lot better food and much hot environment.

Cake was ordered, public informed, obviously Paro had no clue about this on her otherwise boring day (as she admitted after that).

No wild celebrations, but a decent one, and not to forget the part of Abhishek, who made all of us laugh to our fullest. I realised that i haven't laughed so much in a long time.
There was Abhishek, Debi, Prantar, Rishi, Arijit, Payal, Nitul, Ismail(my infy colleague), myself and ofcourse the birthday girl Paro.
We had a nice time.

And them i realised something, how i took most of my very very special persons in my life so casually. In other words, took them for granted. I always had a very distinct nature of doing things in a very animated way and on a grand scale. I love grand celebrations, normal things are for everyone, not for me. I dont remember celebrating Arun's Birthday or Shakti's B day in any memorable way.

Yup, i remember one. But that is something i have been advised to keep mum on matters related to that person.

I shared this with Paro, with Shakti, with Arun. And i said sorry. I know that to my capacity i could have made this day memorable which i wanted but couldn't do so in this case.

Guys, i haven't lost faith and i an determined to make ammends for such mistakes and for a start, chatted with Mom for over 30 minutes(might seem very natural to most of you (not to those who know me), but this duration crosses the cumulative sum of the duration i had over phone with her since coming here). And i can feel the difference within myself and more importantly inside my mom.

Life everyday has to teach so much, 3 days and i can now design my own web page and with sufficient functionality, but that's not what i meant here. There are so many things happening all around us, teaching us new ways of living life, new ways of looking at life.

Off oh ! Saala bahut philosophy ho gaya ! Hamesha kh tarah !!

Bear with of guys, and share your part of stories.:-) i am sure you would be having so many things to share.

With lots and lots of love,
saurav.

Written By a Guy

Not my piece, but kind of wonderful. Enjoy !!

Girls Need To Realize: WRITTEN BY A GUY :)

We guys don't care if you talk to other guys.

We don't care if you're friends with other guys.

But when you're sitting next to us, and some random guy walks into the room and you jump up and tackle him, without even introducing us, yeah, it pisses us off.

It doesn't help if you sit there and talk to him for ten minutes without even acknowledging the fact that we're still there.

We don't care if a guy calls>OR TEXTS< you,
but at 2 in the morning we do get a little concerned.

Nothing is that important at 2 a.m.

That it can't wait till the morning.

Also, when we tell you you're pretty/ beautiful/ gorgeous/
cute/ stunning, we freaking mean it.

Don't tell us we're wrong.

We'll stop trying to convince you.

The sexiest thing about a girl is confidence..

Yeah, you can quote me.

Don't be mad when we hold the door open.

Take Advantage of the mood im in.

Let us pay for you!
dont 'feel bad'
We enjoy doing it.

It's expected.

Smile and say 'thank you.

Kiss us when no one's watching.

If you kiss us when you know somebody's looking, we'll be more impressed.

You don't have to get dressed up for us.

If we're going out with you in the first place, you don't have to feel the need to
wear the shortest skirt you have or put on every kind of makeup you own.

We like you for who you are and not what you are.

Honestly, i think a girl looks more beautiful when she's just in her pj's.
or my tshirt and boxers, not all dolled up.

Don't take everything we say seriously.

Sarcasm is a beautiful thing. See the beauty in it.

Don't get angry easily.
Stop using magazines/media as your bible.

Don't talk about how hott Chris Brown,
Brad Pitt, or Jesse McCartney is in front of us.

It's boring, and we don't care... You have girlfriends for that.

Whatever happened to the word 'handsome'/'beautiful'
i'd be utterly stunned by a girl who greeted me
with 'Hey handsome!' instead of 'Hey baby/ stud/ cutie/ sexy' or whatever else you can think of.

On the other hand im not sayin i woulndnt like it ether ; )

Girls, I cannot stress this enough: if you aren't being treated right by a guy, dont wait for him to change!!!!!

Ditch his sorry butt, disgrace to the male population
and find someone who will treat you with utter respect
Someone who will honor your morals.

Someone who will make you smile when you're at your lowest.

Someone who will care for you even when you make mistakes.

Someone who will love you, no matter how bad you make them feel.

Someone who will stop what they're doing just to look you in the eyes....and say 'i love you' ..and actually mean it.

Give the nice guys a chance.

Every Guy who isn't a jerk will agree with this,
so we hope that all the girls that read this will repost this.

ADVICE:

*Holding Hands
Girls :If you want to hold his hand, gently bump into it a couple of
times.

*Movies
Girls : During a movie, if he puts his arm around you, tilt your head on his shoulder
Guys : Lift her chin up and kiss her.

*Loving each other
Guys : When she tells you she loves you, look deep into her eyes, give her a peck on the lips, and tell her you love her
too... And mean it.

*Laying below the stars
Girls: When you're both laying under the stars, put your head on his chest and close your eyes as you listen to his steady heart beat
Guys : Whisper in her ear and link your hands with hers.
